Our Instructor

Keri Salustri has been teaching piano lessons for 29 years. She received a Master of Music degree in piano performance from The University of Arizona. She also holds Bachelor of Music degrees in both piano and percussion from Western Connecticut State University.

Keri is currently the music teacher at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Newtown, where she teaches general music to kindergarten through eighth grade. She was an adjunct professor at Western CT State University, has taught at the middle school level (band), and Norwalk High School marching band (drum line) for eight years. She has conducted concert bands, percussion ensembles and choirs for many years. Many of her students have gone on to pursue careers in both music performance and music education.

Keri is a member of the Schubert Club of Fairfield County in which she regularly enters students in the Young Musicians Festival at Fairfield University. She is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association and Connecticut Music Teachers Association, Fairfield Chapter.
